Located in the northeastern section of Anderson County, SC, Piercetown Fire Department’s response district is 31.68 square miles with 16 linear miles of Interstate. With a current permanent population of approximately 4,800 people, Piercetown Fire Department is centrally located, with great routes of travel for local alarms, mutual and automatic aid responses. Piercetown Fire Department’s district is rapidly expanding due to the unprecedented industrial and residential growth in the area. The district is home to a variety of industrial buildings & manufacturing campuses, multiple neighborhood developments, commercial & retail facilities, the Anderson Motor Speedway, major thoroughfares such as Interstate 85 & State Highway 81, a 310-acre reservoir,  and multiple water towers & communication antennas. The dynamic of the district has changed dramatically since the founding of Piercetown Fire Department in 1965, when at the time, the majority of the district was agriculturally focused. Because of that dynamic change, the number and types of calls for the departments assistance has changed, with the call volume steadily increasing year-over-year. Our neighboring stations are West Pelzer Station #6, Hopewell Station #20, Wren Station #24, Three and Twenty Station #19, and Walker McElmoyle Station #16. Together we work, hand-in-hand, to protect the residents and infrastructure of our communities.
